The Recipe

I created this recipe out of necessity to heal my year-round dry cracked cuticles. It's a delicate blend of cocoa butter, Shea butter, Jojoba oil, vitamin E, beeswax and Lemongrass, just what I want in a cream, not too greasy yet coats my nails and cuticles for healing.

In prior test recipes I used lavender essential oil but it seemed to fight the cocoa butter scent so I switched to Lemongrass oil and they turn out to be an excellent team. Application now is a refreshing a citrus aroma.

I keep a little pod in my purse, bathroom and bedside for application throughout the day. You can buy one pod at a time or three and save. Buying three will keep you from having to track down your only one.

This cream is firm for three reasons, to stay up in warm weather, not go on greasy and remain on the cuticles in order to abosorb and repair. It's the beeswax that firms it up. Touching it alone will not soften the cream so I drag the backside of a fingernail along the top to skim off an application. It pulls up just enough to distribute onto the nails and cuticles of one hand.

These come in .35 oz easy-carry travel pods that are bigger than sample containers, topped with pretty pink lids and are super portable.

I apply this after I wash my hands and before I go to bed. Washing your hands will soften the skin and prepare it to absorb these nutrients.
